Expected project results

• Completed nature conservation activities in the Sungurlare and Suloglu municipalities;

• Measures implemented to improve the conservation status of natural habitat 91M0 “Balkan-Pannonian Cera-garun forests” and improve the natural state of the territories in the Natura 2000 protected areas “Kotlenska Mountain” BG0002029 and “Gorna Luda Kamchia” BG0000136 in Sungurlare afforestation;

• Cleaned river beds in the municipality of Suloglu, afforestation and improvement of the coastal river environment;

• Exchanged know-how for nature conservation between the two municipalities;

• Increased awareness of the population, stakeholders and students in both municipalities about nature conservation and conservation of natural habitats and species.
